Nyali

Loan management built for Zambian microfinance

Nyali is our loan management system for microfinance institutions and non-bank financial providers. It replaces the spreadsheets and paper files most small lenders still run on, and it is built around how lending actually works in Zambia — Kwacha amounts, local repayment cycles, and field officers who are out collecting rather than sitting at a desk.

It is a product we build, host and support ourselves, not a reseller package. That means when your rules change, we can change the system.

What Nyali handles

  • Client records — borrower profiles, KYC documents, guarantors and history in one place.
  • Loan origination — applications, appraisal, approval workflow and disbursement.
  • Repayment tracking — schedules, part payments, penalties and arrears ageing.
  • Portfolio reporting — outstanding balances, collections performance and provisioning aligned to IFRS 9.
  • Field collections — a mobile app so loan officers can record repayments and client visits away from the office.
  • SMS notifications — automated repayment reminders and statements to borrowers.

Who it is for

Nyali suits lenders running anywhere from a few hundred to several thousand active loans — microfinance institutions, NBFIs, SACCOs and payroll lenders. It is in daily use today with Zambian lenders including Vantage Finance, Whence Financial Services and Meanwood Finance Corporation.

We handle setup, data migration from your existing spreadsheets, staff training and ongoing support.
